Cartilage

Tissue which provides a covering for the end of the bone, and allows a low friction surface inside the joint space. Damage to the cartilage can occur from inflammation (inflammatory arthritis), acute trauma (post-traumatic arthrosis), or from progressive wear and tear (degenerative arthrosis). 6.jpg
