Dr. Rose is a Board Certified orthopaedic surgeon who has had extensive training in extremity injuries during his 13 years of service in the United States Army. He also has been given the Certificate of Additional Qualifications (CAQ) by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons for surgery of the hand. Dr. Rose served as the Chief of Hand Surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio where he also was the Director of Micro-Surgical Training. Completing his time in the Army Dr. Rose practiced at Ohio State University. He also was the Chief of Hand surgery as well as the director of medical student orthopaedic education. He now returns to the Austin area to be closer to family.

Dr. Rose specializes in the care of traumatic and degenerative injuries of the extremity with an emphasis on the upper extremity. His interests are in repair and reconstruction of these problems if and only if conservative measures are inadequate. Dr. Rose is also trained in Microsurgery, arthroscopy and congenital surgery. He is very excited to return to the Central Texas area and help serve the greater Austin community.

He is scheduled to start his practice February 2009.
