A progressive deterioration of the cartilage covering the bones that make up the ball and socket shoulder joint.

 

Rheumatoid Arthritis

An inflammatory condition that causes gradual erosion of the cartilage surface of the ball and socket shoulder joint. Typically, several other joints in the body can be affected.

   

Avascular Necrosis (AVN)

Avascular Necrosis (AVN) is a condition that affects the ball portion of the shoulder joint when there is a lack of blood flow to the bone. Lack of blood flow can cause the bone to die which can cause severe pain and even lead to collapse of the ball portion of the shoulder joint.

   

Rotator Cuff Arthropathy

Rotator Cuff Arthropathy is an Arthritic condition of the shoulder joint that results because of a large tear of the rotator cuff muscles that provide support and stability to the shoulder joint.
